A Night To Yourself

What better way to ease the stress of life than to immerse yourself in a personal spa session. The bathtub is filling up with hot bubbly water, waiting for you to relax in it. Candles flicker on a long tray, and the smell of burning wood and soft scent spreads in the room. A bottle of wine, of course, chilled prior to this endeavour, paired with a single glass. A record player provides a perfect music ambiance. There is something pleasant about being able to turn the busyness of the outside world into an aesthetic prop for yourself. The skyline, all those skyscrapers and rows and rows of light – they become nothing but a beautiful backdrop to observe from your cozy tub. The lights of the city reflect on the enamel, on the golden hose of the shower and on the wine glass. Even though the windows are unadorned, there is a sense of safety and privacy in this bathroom. A cute lamp hangs just a little away from the bathtub, adding a little more flicker to the room, just like the lights outside. And once you are relaxed, there is a stack of fuzzy towels awaiting.
