Rowekamp is having her World Cup debut tomorrow. The 17-year-old had her first year of FIS competitions last year and this year made the Stifel U.S. Ski Team after finishing her rookie season ranked 78th in the world. The Girdwood, Alaska native is currently at Burke Mountain Academy, which also produced talents like Shiffrin and O’Brien. Team Canada is sending four ski racers to the starting gate. Britt Richardson leads Alpine Canada in bib8. Arianne Forget (54), Cassidy Gray (59) and Justine Lamontagne (62) complete the Canadian lineup. Valerie Grenier is sadly out with a knee injury. Italy’s Anna Trocker, also 17 but born in 2008, will be the second youngest starter behind the American. Trocker, however, has a head start on the American: she had her World Cup debut at the World Cup Finals in Norway and two Olympic starts under her belt. Related: Italian Ski Racer Anna Trocker Joins Team Red Bull Petra Vlhova from Slovakia will be in the starting gate after two years of absence from the World Cup circuit, following a serious injury on home-soil in Jasna, Slovakia, in January 2024. Vlhova competed at the 2026 Olympics but this will be her first official return to World Cup racing. Skiing on new gear this season we have Paula Moltzan, who joined Van Deer’s racing team this year. Also, Alice Robinson switched from Salomon to HEAD for the 2026-27 season while Colturi joined HEAD from Blizzard. Last but not least Austria’s Franziska Gritsch has joined Atomic. It will interesting to see if the equipment changes will make a difference on race performance. The season opener is always met with a lot of anticipation as it gives a glimpse into how everyone’s racing form is after the summer. Interestingly enough, for the last three seasons, the season open winner also wound up being the overall season Chrystal Globe winner: Scheib in 2025-26, Federica Brignone in 2024-25, and Lara Gut-Behrami in 2023-24. The 2026-27 field is certainly stacked with talent, so it will be exciting to see who manages to snatch victory in Sölden tomorrow. The first run is scheduled for 10 a.m. local time, with the second run at 1 p.m. The post Start List Women Solden World Cup appeared first on SnowBrains.
