Oil India discovers natural gas in Krishna Godavari Basin

Oil India Ltd has discovered natural gas in the previously unexplored Matsyapuri formation in the Krishna-Godavari Basin. The company said its Godavari-1 appraisal well, drilled in the shallow offshore KG Basin, encountered hydrocarbons at a depth of 2,024-2,027 metres.
