Mutation, soundness, safety in FFI code

Interesting, I didn't think about how my code could be included twice. This isn't going in a library but I had assumed you could only have one version of a library at a time. Is the unsafe link_name guaranteed to help with this or is it just an implementation detail? Is there anywhere I could read more about this problem?
