The Red Queen by Leti M. Vila

The Red Queen by Leti M. Vila
Lilith the Red Queen I'm proud to present Lilith, the Red Queen, based on Miguel Iglesias's concept. I fell in love with the striking blend of beauty and grimdark fantasy in the original concept. I took some creative liberties to give the character a more medieval feel, reworking her left arm with Gothic plate armor, including a gauntlet, vambrace, couter, and rerebrace. For this project, I focused on developing a complete MetaHuman pipeline, from creating a custom face and body to sculpting the scar and adapting everything to the MetaHuman body and facial rigs. All skeleton bones had to be scaled to fit the concept, and custom ones were implemented to support additional armor pieces. Grooming was done with XGen, hair cards with physics. I love how the eye shader is so customizable that it even allowed me to recreate the cloudy eye from the original concept. Unreal renders are made in 5.4 using Dark Ruins Megascans assets and MetaHuman Lighting. The idle pose was created in Maya, but thanks to the MetaHuman rig, the character can also be posed directly in Unreal Engine, as shown in the presentation. Technical aspects: - Cloth done in Marvelous Designer and ZBrush - All body parts and weapons sculpted in ZBrush - Facial textures from 3d scan Store - Substance Painter for textures, Fibershop for hair textures, Xgen for lashes and eyebrows - 4k textures, 2k textures for hair and fur - GsCurve Tools for placing hair cards and cape fur - Skin and eye shaders from MetaHuman - MetaHuman facial and body rig - Extra bones added in Maya for extra movement like earrings, roundels, pauldrons, tassets, pouches, keychains, and keys Big shout-out to everyone who helped with feedback and tips! It was a great opportunity to explore the full character creation pipeline while bringing this dark fantasy warrior to life. I hope you enjoy the result!
