(Canaveral Port Authority Image) BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – The Canaveral Port Authority expects boat trailer parking at Port Canaveral to be in high demand again during the 2026 Federal Atlantic Recreational Red Snapper Season, which opened at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, October 9, and closes at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, October 12. As always, boat trailer parking at the Port’s Freddie Patrick Park boat ramps and Rodney S. Ketcham Park boat ramps is free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached. Boaters can access the ramps at all times, whether or not they park there, to launch their boat and park their vehicle and trailer elsewhere. To promote the safety and enjoyment for all, boaters are strongly advised to have a plan before arriving at Port Canaveral. Once the lot is full, boaters can still launch at Freddie Patrick Park boat ramps; however, they will need to park their vehicle and trailer elsewhere. Boaters who drop their boat at any Port Canaveral boat ramp should ensure they have a capable operator on board their vessel to safely move and hold their vessel away from the boat ramp launching area while they seek parking for their vehicle and trailer.
