Steamboat Ski Resort’s bike park expected to close Oct. 4
The bike park along the slopes of Mount Werner at Steamboat Ski Resort will close Oct. 4, according to a release by Steamboat Ski Resort The park will only be open Friday through Sunday before closing, the release explained Crews are working in several areas of the mountain, according to Routt County dated Sept. 8. Impacts may include resort teams working on snowmaking systems — which could impact some trails — and the new water ramp and trampoline training facility at bottom of the Park Smalley Freestyle Complex, said the resort. Construction work on The Stockman has closed the trails of Right-O-Way for the summer, Lower Zig Zag has been rerouted onto the lower section of Lasso and changed to an uphill and downhill trail. The new half-pipe at Bashor Bowl is also rerouting some trails, according to the resort’s website. Impacts are subject to daily change. The resort is asking cyclists to follow all signage, closures, and crew direction at all times.
