Rollingstone Drive in Steamboat Springs to close for 4-week sewer replacement project starting Monday
Rollingstone Drive between Pine Grove Road and Anglers Drive in Steamboat Springs will close to through traffic starting Monday, Oct. 5 for a four-week sanitary sewer replacement project, according to a Wednesday statement. The project will begin at the entrance to Sundance Condominiums and continue south across Anglers Drive along Rollingstone Drive to the northern intersection of the Selbe Apartments driveway. Anglers Retreat residents must use Anglers Drive to enter and exit the subdivision during the construction period. Native Excavating, awarded around $250,000 for the improvement project, will replace an underperforming sanitary sewer main, including roughly 448 linear feet of existing six-inch and eight-inch PVC sanitary sanitary sewer main and associated services. Construction activity will be limited from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the road expected to remain closed for up to four weeks depending on construction conditions. “Replacing aging and underperforming infrastructure is an important part of maintaining a reliable sewer system for the community,” said Public Works Director Jon Snyder in the statement. “Projects like this allow us to address infrastructure needs before they become larger problems, while helping ensure the system continues to serve residents safely and reliably.”
