Fall Events in Round Rock: Festivals, Pumpkin Patches and Corn Mazes (2026 Guide)

Fall in Round Rock does not arrive with changing leaves. It shows up as pumpkins stacked on a church lawn off Palm Valley, a corn maze cut into a field out Highway 29, and the smell of funnel cake drifting across Old Settlers Park while it is still 88 degrees out. Here is everything happening around Round Rock this fall: the festivals, the pumpkin patches, the corn mazes, and the dates families plan the whole month around. Fall Festivals in Round Rock Williamson Museum Harvest FestivalSaturday, September 12, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.Old Settlers Association, 3300 E. Palm Valley Blvd. The first real fall event on the calendar, and a free one. The Williamson Museum sets up crafts, butter churning, and living history demonstrations on the Old Settlers Association grounds, across Harrell Parkway from the Salt Lick. Good for younger kids and short attention spans. Times and details. Hairy Man FestivalSaturday, October 17, noon to 5 p.m.Cat Hollow Park, 8320 O’Connor Drive Round Rock’s strangest and most beloved tradition turns 32 this year. Live music all afternoon, food and craft booths run by local nonprofits, carnival games, inflatables, a petting zoo, and Halloween crafts. The costume contest is at 2 p.m. and the Hairiest Man Contest closes the day at 4:30. Admission is free, with a suggested donation of two non-perishable food items or $2 per person for the Round Rock Serving Center. The Hairy Man 5K runs that morning at 9. Schedule, map and parking. Pumpkin Palooza at St. Richard’sSaturday, October 17, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.1420 E. Palm Valley Blvd. The pumpkin patch throws a party in the middle of its run: pumpkin bowling, sack races, putt-putt, ring toss, crafts, face painting, a petting zoo and food. Note that this lands on the same Saturday as the Hairy Man Festival, so you can do Palooza in the morning and Cat Hollow in the afternoon if you pace yourselves. See what is planned. Fall Fun FestivalWednesday, October 28, 9 to 11:30 a.m.Old Settlers Park Round Rock Parks and Recreation aims this one squarely at toddlers and preschoolers, which is exactly why it works. Free, costumes encouraged, and they ask you to bring a canned good for the Round Rock Food Pantry. A weekday morning event is a gift if you have a little one who melts down by dinnertime. Mainly Art, Saturdays, September 26, October 24, and November 21, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Downtown Round Rock. Fifteen visual artists set up along Main Street each month. National Night Out, Tuesday, October 6, 6 to 9 p.m. Neighborhood block parties across the city. Round Rock Market Days, Saturday, October 3 and Saturday, November 7, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Prete Plaza. The October market is a trick or treat: costumes encouraged, and most vendors take part. Meet the woman who started it. Trailside Market, Saturdays at 9 a.m. through October, Memorial Park. Lunch and Learn: Dangerous Latitudes, Tuesday, October 27 at noon, Allen R. Baca Center. One for the adults; no costume required. Pumpkin Patches in Round Rock St. Richard’s Episcopal Church Pumpkin PatchOctober 8 through October 311420 E. Palm Valley Blvd. The one every Round Rock family already knows, now in its 29th year and run entirely by volunteers. Walking in is free and you pay only for the pumpkins you carry out. Open Sunday through Friday from noon until dark; Saturdays from 9 a.m. The pumpkins come from Navajo farmers in the Four Corners region of New Mexico, trucked to Round Rock in fresh loads through the month. Every one of them gets unloaded by hand. If you want to help, volunteers gather at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 14, and 21 to empty the truck and restock the patch. Once the farmers are paid, what the patch raises goes back into the community through the Round Rock Serving Center, Hope Alliance, the Hutto Resource Center, Kairos Prison Ministry, St. Richard’s Preschool scholarships, and Stony Point ROTC and youth missions. Parishioners sell handmade crafts on site, and that money goes to the same places. The patch is pet-friendly if your dog is well-behaved, and photographers are welcome to book family sessions there. Schools and nonprofits can arrange discounted pumpkins, and businesses can buy in bulk for their own displays. A tip from years of doing this: go on a weekday afternoon if you want photos without forty other families in the frame. The light is better late anyway. Hours and volunteer sign-ups. Round Rock Pumpkin Festival and Pumpkin PatchOctober 2 through October 31, Fridays through Mondays, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.Old Settlers Park, 3300 E. Palm Valley Blvd. Now in its fifth year, set among the historic Old Settlers pioneer cabins under the century oaks. Thousands of pumpkins, plus a giant corn pit, a jack-o’-lantern bouncy house, a barrel train, farm animals you can feed, pumpkin painting, free yard games, and a super slide. Tacobaby Austin handles the food and there is funnel cake in the air. Admission is ticketed and parking is free. Teachers get in free, military and first responders get in free with ID, and it is free for anyone 65 and up or 2 and under. It is pet friendly if your dog is leashed and you clean up. Closed Tuesday through Thursday for restocking, so plan around that. Tickets and daily specials. Corn Mazes Near Round Rock Round Rock proper does not have a corn maze, but a couple of good ones sit within an easy drive, and the closest is barely twenty minutes up the road. Sweet Eats Adventure Farm (Georgetown)September 19 through November 814400 E. State Highway 29 The closest and the biggest: a 4.5-acre themed corn maze with a riddle sheet to work through as you go. On Friday and Saturday nights in October, the farm stays open until 10, so you can do the same maze in the dark. Bring your own flashlight or buy one there for $3. General admission also covers pig races, a petting zoo, pony rides, wagon rides, apple cannons and thirty-odd other farm activities, plus a fireworks show every Friday and Saturday night in October at 9:15. The pumpkin patch is priced separately from general admission: pick-your-own pumpkins run $0.85 a pound; minis are $1.50 each or four for $5. Patch-only entry is free Monday through Friday in October and $5 a person on Saturdays and Sundays. Hours shift by the week, so check before you load the car. Maze details and hours. Barton Hill Farms (Bastrop) A four-acre maze on the banks of the Colorado River, with live Texas country and bluegrass playing most of the afternoon, a giant jumping pillow, hayrides and a barn full of calves, sheep and goats. Main Street The one the whole town turns out for. Trick-or-treating at Downtown businesses, face painting, live music, balloon art, train rides and giveaways. Adaptive and Inclusive Trunk or TreatSaturday, October 24, 4 to 6 p.m.Ascension Seton Williamson, 201 Seton Parkway Round Rock Parks and Recreation and Ascension Seton Williamson run this one for children with disabilities and their families. Cars line up in the lot to hand out candy; it is free, and you bring your own trick-or-treat bags. How to join in. Trunk or Treat at St. Richard’sFriday, October 30 The church is running a trunk or treat the same night as Hometown Halloween. Times have not been posted yet. Watch for details here. A Few Notes Before You Go October 17 is the busiest Saturday of the season. Pumpkin Palooza, the Hairy Man Festival and the Hairy Man 5K all land on it. Halloween falls on a Saturday in 2026. Most of the city’s organized events run the week before, so the 31st itself is open for neighborhood trick-or-treating. It will still be hot.
