Patient Accounting Representative

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Patient Accounting Representative will manage billing and follow-up for hospital claims, ensuring accurate submission and compliance with regulations while optimizing revenue through timely payment collection. Key responsibilities: Perform accurate and timely billing of insurance claims in compliance with regulations and payer guidelines Expedite larger dollar accounts and follow up on payments with insurance companies and patients Resolve payer denials and perform audits to ensure correct payments are received according to contract terms Required qualifications: Minimum one (1) year of collections or administrative experience High school diploma Demonstrated ability to perform diversified clerical functions and basic accounting procedures Experience in motivating debtors to pay Knowledge of medical insurance claims processing and payer requirements is preferred
