Avery Styles Will Continue To Work The Indies Despite Signing With TNA, Eddie Kingston Update

Avery Styles is continuing to make waves just months into his professional wrestling career. The 19-year-old son of AJ Styles was officially signed by TNA Wrestling at the Lockdown 2026 pay-per-view event, and he has already lined up another notable independent wrestling appearance. Avery will make his debut for Expect The Unexpected (ETU) Wrestling at Marcus Mathers’ ‘All I Want 4’ event on Saturday, September 19. The event will take place at “The Mecca” in Ridgefield Park, New Jersey, and will stream live on Independent Wrestling TV. The announcement comes less than three months after Avery made his professional wrestling debut, marking a rapid rise for the young prospect. During TNA Lockdown 2026, Avery was introduced as the “Phenomenal Son,” a clear reference to his father’s legendary “Phenomenal” moniker. However, the moment was interrupted by Frankie Kazarian, who reminded Avery of the role AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, and himself played in establishing TNA. CMLL has announced that Kingston will challenge Hechicero for the CMLL World Heavyweight Championship at the promotion’s August 28 event. The bout will mark Kingston’s first appearance for CMLL. Kingston was originally scheduled to face Claudio Castagnoli in the quarterfinals of the AEW Continental Cup Challenge, but he was not medically cleared the day before the event. With his match against Hechicero now officially announced, it would appear that Kingston has since been cleared to compete.
