God starts again, gifting all knowledge instead of fobidding it

A short story I read in the early/mid-1980s, probably in a collection. Humanity destroys itself, and God decides to start again, but this time giving Adam and Eve all the knowledge of the world instead of forbidding them. I think Adam gets bored with his task of restarting humanity and wanders off. One point I remember is God talking to Eve: Why are you wearing a loincloth, I created you with no shame! Eve replying: I need something to hold my sanitary pad!
