Watch Billie Joe Armstrong demo his new Marshall 1959BJA signature amp

Billie Joe has given us a proper demo of his new Marshall 1959BJA signature amp in a video released by Sweetwater. The video opens with "Welcome to Paradise" before Billie explains his history with Marshall amps and how the guitar sound that became central to Dookie came together, thanks to Rob Cavallo. Billie described getting his first Marshall as "kind of an eye-opening experience," adding that when it comes to playing through a 4x12 cabinet, "nothing gives you that sound." It's very cool to see him playing on it, the sound is unmistakable. The 100-watt, handwired amp head was officially announced last week and is available beginning today.
