Green Day fans pick "Jesus of Suburbia" as their favorite song of 2026

After eight weeks of head-to-head matchups here on GDA and roughly 12,700 votes, Green Day fans have picked "Jesus of Suburbia" as their favorite Green Day song for 2026. The nine-minute American Idiot track finished with a weighted rating of 4.35 out of 5, narrowly beating "Welcome to Paradise." The top five: Jesus of Suburbia - 4.35 Welcome to Paradise - 4.30 Holiday - 4.29 21st Century Breakdown - 4.28 American Idiot - 4.27 At the other end of the list, these were the five lowest-ranked songs: Here Comes the Shock - 2.98 I Was a Teenage Teenager - 3.08 Strangeland - 3.09 Father to a Son - 3.15 Fire, Ready, Aim - 3.15 The final rankings use a weighted average that considers both a song's rating and how many votes it received. This prevents a song with only a few perfect ratings from jumping to the top, or a song with a single one-star rating from being named the worst.
