CCI finds laptop maker HP rigged bids, levies Rs 14.28 crore penalty
The Competition Commission of India fined HP India and sixteen resellers Rs 14.28 crore. This penalty was imposed for cartelisation in the sale of print hardware consumables. HP India received a penalty of Rs 11.98 crore, while resellers collectively paid Rs 2.30 crore. The regulator also directed them to stop engaging in anti-competitive conduct. Officials of HP India and its resellers were found liable and penalized.
