AJ Lee Won’t Allow CM Punk To Get Another Dog

CM Punk has shared more emotional details about the loss of his beloved dog Larry, revealing that the experience was so devastating that AJ Lee has no interest in ever owning another dog. During a recent appearance on Stephanie McMahon’s “What’s Your Story?” podcast, Punk was asked whether he could see himself welcoming another dog into his life in the future. You can check out some highlights from the interaction below: Stephanie McMahon: “Do you think you might ever get another [dog]?” CM Punk: “No. I probably would, but she won’t.” Stephanie McMahon: “Too heartbreaking.” CM Punk: “Yeah. She [AJ] said, ‘Never. Never again.’ And I understand.” The Undisputed WWE Champion also reflected on one of the most emotional moments he experienced after Larry passed away in November 2025. After returning to his home in Chicago, Punk cleaned the house and emptied his vacuum into a dumpster, only to discover it was almost entirely filled with Larry’s fur. He said, “I wasn’t expecting it. I dumped it, and I saw nothing but Larry fur. It was all Larry hair. I had a moment where I wanted to reach in and save it. I hid all the stuff because I got there before April did. I was like, ‘Nope, hiding it.’ I got everything out of the way. I miss him. Honestly, I’m not saying it’s a silver lining, because I would rather have him, but we got married and got Larry maybe eight months — or 12 months — after. We haven’t been able to travel or anything, so that’s what we’ve been doing for the last two months.
