FULL DETAILS RELEASED in Charles County Road-Rage Case: Oxon Hill Man Fired Shots, Pointed Gun At Woman’s Head

Parren Eric Swann, 61, of Oxon Hill, is facing charges in Charles County that include two counts of first-degree assault, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, use of a firearm in a felony or violent crime, carrying a handgun, transporting a loaded handgun in a vehicle, two counts of second-degree assault, and reckless endangerment after investigators alleged he fired a handgun during a road-rage encounter near Brookwood Drive and Billingsley Road on May 10, 2026. Officers with the Charles County Sheriff’s Office were called at about 8:17 p.m. on May 10, 2026, for a report of shots fired in the area of Brookwood Drive and Billingsley Road. When officers arrived, they found a burgundy Chevrolet Malibu with its front passenger-side tire hanging off the vehicle. An adult female victim told officers she had turned onto Brookwood Drive from Billingsley Road when a black Jeep was driving toward her on the wrong side of the road. She said she stopped and honked twice before the driver got out holding a handgun.
