Click here to print recipe Grilled Pork Burgers with Thai-Inspired Sauce PREP TIME: 15 min | COOK TIME: 15–18 min | SERVES: 4 Ingredients: For the burgers:• 1 lb. unseasoned ground pork• 2 green onions, finely diced• 2 garlic cloves, minced• 1 jalapeno, seeded and finely diced• 1 tsp. grated fresh ginger or ¼ tsp. ground ginger• 2 Tbsp. finely chopped fresh basil or cilantro• 1½ tsp. coconut aminos or ½–1½ tsp. fish sauce• 1 tsp. lime zest• ¼ tsp. black pepper• Pinch of salt• 4 buns For the slaw:• 1 c. shredded cabbage• ½ c. shredded carrots• ½ medium red bell pepper, cut into thin strips• 2 green onions, thinly sliced• 2 Tbsp. finely chopped fresh basil or cilantro• 2 Tbsp. chopped nuts (peanuts, almonds or cashews) For the creamy Thai-inspired dressing:• 2 Tbsp. peanut butter, almond butter or cashew butter• 2 Tbsp. coconut aminos• 1 Tbsp. lime juice• 1 tsp. toasted sesame oil• 1 small garlic clove, minced• 1 tsp. grated fresh ginger or ¼ tsp. ground ginger• ¼ tsp. red pepper flakes• ¼ tsp. fine salt• Warm water if needed Directions:1. Preheat grill to 425–450°F or use a grill pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray over medium-high heat.2. Combine all burger ingredients in a bowl and mix well with your hands until incorporated.3. Shape into 4 patties with a slight indentation in the middle.4. Grill for 9–10 minutes on one side, flip and grill for another 5–8 minutes until cooked through (160°F internal temp).5. While burgers grill, prepare slaw ingredients and place in a medium bowl.6. Whisk together all dressing ingredients in a separate bowl.7. Pour dressing over slaw and toss until well incorporated.8. Place burgers on buns or lettuce wraps and top with generous amount of slaw.9. Serve extra slaw on the side. Advice:• The indentation in the middle of each patty prevents burgers from puffing up during grilling.• Add warm water to dressing if needed to reach desired consistency.• Burgers can also be cooked on stovetop using a grill pan for same results.
