Time flies. Five years ago, a friend of mine from Ohio asked if I might be interested in recording a podcast. I figured it might be fun to try it out, and five years later, the In the News podcast is one of the highlights of my week. Not only do I love talking to Brett Burney every Friday, but the feedback that we get from folks who listen to the podcast has been phenomenal. I have loved the last five years, and I’m excited about the next five. In this week’s episode, Brett and I begin by looking at the topics that we discussed in our very first episode back in 2021. Next, we discuss the big changes in iOS 26.5, including encrypted text message communications with our “green bubble” friends who use Android and changes to the Maps app. We also discuss multi-modal weather forecasts, the Steve Jobs coin, Ted Lasso comes to life, and more.
