#Sudan: What women and girls are living through

“This is what women and girls are living through right now in Darfur.” MSF has documented widespread and systematic sexual violence across the Darfur region of Sudan. Since 2024, nearly 3,400 survivors have received care in the health facilities we support in North and South Darfur. We know this only represents a fraction of the survivors in need; many cannot access care. Sexual violence is being used as a weapon of war, to control, terrorize and destroy communities. Women in Darfur are asking for protection, medical care, and justice.
