New Xiaomi entry-level phone only promises 2 OS updates from Android 15

Xiaomi is now selling the Redmi A7 in India with 4G connectivity. While the smartphone comes with a large battery and a 120 Hz display, it also contains downgrades from last year's Redmi A5 and a mere 2 OS updates from Android 15.
